Joseph P. LaFiura is a taxation and audit professional with more than 30 years of experience in public accounting. Throughout his career, Joe has developed expertise in accounting for individuals, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.

A 1987 graduate of Bryant University (formerly Bryant College) in Smithfield, Rhode Island, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Joe began his professional career with the accounting firm of Arthur Young & Co. in Providence, Rhode Island. At that time, Arthur Young & Co. was among the highly regarded “Big Eight” firms. During his tenure there, Joe developed a solid background in auditing.

His next job brought him home to Connecticut, where he joined the public accounting firm of Bobrow & Bobrow as a Senior Accountant. This enabled him to extend his expertise to include individual and corporate tax preparations.

In 1992, Joe relocated to Glens Falls and joined the accounting firm of Richard W. Fuller in Glens Falls, New York. In 1995, Joe became a partner. As a partner in Fuller & LaFiura CPAs, P.C., Joe specialized in non-profit accounting.

In 2013, Joe established his own firm, Joseph P. LaFiura, CPA, P.C., Joe is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society for Certified Public Accountants.

Community Involvement

Joe has always been an active participant in the communities where he lives and works. He is currently a member of the Kiwanis Club of Saratoga/Wilton where he has served in a variety of capacities from Secretary to President.

Joe is a former board member of the Warren Washington County Industrial Development Agency, past board member of The Salvation Army – Saratoga Chapter, and past Treasurer of the Town of Fort Edward Republican Committee.

Originally from Connecticut, Joe currently resides in Wilton, New York with his wife, Melissa, and their son LJ.
